Liz Story at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on April 25, 2025.

For more than four decades, Liz has given her gift to the world. Her music has carried us through heartbreak and celebration, lighting up concert halls, living rooms, and hearts alike. Now 75 years old and after a lifetime of uplifting others through music, Liz needs our help.

Liz has faced much adversity in the past two decades. Her career was put on hold years ago to provide long-term care for her husband prior to his untimely death, and to spend six years as the sole caregiver for her parents until their passing. Liz suffered a near-lethal abdominal injury in 2012, and a brain hematoma in 2019. These events and the years away from work made a devastating impact on her financial stability. As is true for many musicians, Liz lives very modestly, struggles to make ends meet, and has no safety net.

If Liz's music has ever comforted you, inspired you, or simply brought you joy, please consider giving what you can — and sharing this appeal with others who have been touched by her music. Let’s surround Liz with the same kindness she has poured into the world for 40 years, and ensure that her later years are filled not with worry, but with the love and gratitude she has earned many times over. Please join us in supporting her today.
